Urban Boatbuilders' Apprenticeship Program employs those ages 16-21 to build boats, cutting boards, develop career building skills, and gain exposure to the trades. Pay starts at $15/hour with opportunity for pay increases as apprentices advance through the cohorts. We are located at the Urban Boatbuilders' Woodshop, right off the Green Line on Raymond.

WHO:

Youth ages 16-21 who are curious about the trades and/or enjoy working with their hands. Note: Age exceptions are considered, depending on circumstances.

 

PAY:

$15/hour with opportunity for pay increases as apprentices advance through the cohorts.

Thursday, Feb 5th - Wednesday, May 20th

CREW HOURS:

3 hours per day, 3 days per week

Crew A works from 3:15pm-6:15pm, Monday -Wednesday. 

Crew B works from 3:15pm-6:15pm, Wednesday-Friday

OVERNIGHT TRIP:

Our spring cohort includes a paid overnight canoe trip! The trip is optional but is highly recommended because it provides excellent experiences and tons of fun!
