New: Cutting Board Classes
Make your own cutting board with Urban Boatbuilders! Our cutting board class is your chance to get hands-on in the shop, learn new skills, and create something uniquely yours. You will be guided step-by-step on how to use tools such as the miter saw, and to create a durable, food-safe cutting board to take home. No previous experience required! You must be at least 18 years old to participate. One board per person.

Paddle Making Classes
Craft your own canoe paddle the same way artisans have been making paddles for centuries! Urban Boatbuilders hosts monthly paddle making classes. With the help of an instructor, choose your own design, wood species, and shape your paddle. Work with a bandsaw and traditional tools such as hand planes and spokeshaves. Finalize your work by sanding and finishing with a durable varnish. No previous experience required! You must be at least 18 years old to participate. One paddle per person.
