About the event
Urban Boatbuilders is a youth development non-profit based in St. Paul dedicated to empowering youth to succeed in work and life through woodworking and experiential learning. This year, we're celebrating 30 years of building boats and launching lives, and we invite you to join in on the celebration!
To officially kick off Urban Boatbuilders’ 30th anniversary, we are hand building an Urban Traveler canoe in only 30 hours to raise $30,000! We invite you to support and watch the boat build in person or via livestream as alumni, founders, board members, and current apprentices build a boat together over 2 days. We will wrap up the boat build with an after party at the shop, so please join us! Perfect event for woodworking and boat enthusiasts to watch and learn how to build a canoe! Free and open to everyone.
