About the event

Urban Boatbuilders is hosting a Trade Ideas Block Party, May 8th from 1 - 5PM, that connects young people, career training, trade and workforce development organizations, and a supportive community to help uplift and celebrate the journey of getting paid, stable employment.

This free block party is by the Urban Boatbuilders woodshop, located at 2288 University Ave W, Saint Paul, MN 55114. It will feature virtual reality activities from the Big Ideas Trailer and the Finishing Institute of the Upper Midwest, there will be engagement activities from trade and workforce organizations, and snacks and refreshments will be flowing freely!

Urban Boatbuilders would love to have your organization participate in this new event! There are several great ways to participate:

  1. Table at the Trade Ideas Block Party: Showcase how awesome your organization is! Engage with young people exploring employment opportunities, and enjoy an afternoon of networking with other organizations. Sign up here!
  2. Attend the Trade Ideas Block Party: Bring your organization, school, business, after school program, or interested young people to gain exposure to employment and career pathways while enjoying some snacks, refreshments, and music.
